We have been working with GJ City Council in support of a full-time director or coordinator for arts and culture.
The need for a full-time Arts and Culture Director was expressed during public meetings for the Grand Junction Cultural Strategic Plan update in 2022. Grand Valley Creative Alliance (GVCA) has been advocating for this position, which will result in better collaboration among organizations and individuals in the creative industries.
We created a case study, demonstrating the feasibility and necessity of this position. You can view the full document on our Advocacy page: https://gvcreates.org/advocacy
The full-time position has been created! It was announced 5/26/23; the job position is open until 6/18/23. Apply here:
