Formerly the Community Arts Network (CAN), the Outreach program strives to connect individual creatives across the Grand Valley. Are you a creative living in the Grand Valley? Then you are a part of this network! Any and all creatives in the Grand Valley who wish to meet and learn about each other's organizations and work are encouraged to participate!
Watch for "Art After Hours" events!
See more info below!
How do we define "Creative"? Everyone is welcome! Even if you say you can't draw a stick figure. The Creative Economy reaches far into our community. Art and Culture is all around us. Your creativity, problem-solving, dollars, and input shape our community. Visit our Advocacy page to learn more about what you can do to help promote art and culture in the Grand Valley.
Networking events help us understand what needs attention in the local arts community. It is out of one of these events that the Community Art Studio idea was hatched! We are excited to be bringing this project to life very soon! Learn more here.

Each meeting, two (or more) creatives share their passions!
We held our first AAH event in February 2020.
We heard from Kelly Anderson about his love of opera, and Sean and Gisela Flanigan told us about their nonprofit MusicSpark, which teaches children leadership skills through music.

Thanks to everyone who welcomed Chip Walton, our new Executive Director, to the Grand Valley. We enjoyed rooftop views and sipping cold beverages on a warm afternoon!
Thanks for networking with us!
Thanks to KAART and 750 Main for hosting this event.

This special event featured the crowning of the new Western Colorado Poet Laureate, Wendy Videlock, and a presentation with live printmaking by CMU alum and multi-genre artist Sam Speir! (pictured here)
Creatives of all stripes and ages attended.
Refreshments were splendid! Artisanal mocktails were shaken and stirred by our local expert, Julia Crocetto!
Thanks to The Art Center for hosting this event, and to the Telluride Institute, the Talking Gourds, Lythic Bookstore, and Grand Valley Books for helping us with this special event featuring past and present Western Colorado Poets Laureate!
